Scott earned his certificate in Spiritual Direction through Urban Spirituality Center in Portland under Fr. Jim Galluzzo. His teachers include:

He is a member of Milwaukie (Oregon) Lutheran Church, andSpiritual Directors International and was a member of the advisory board of Milwaukie’s Franciscan Spiritual Center where he is also an adjunct facilitator.

Scott meets regularly with clients in Spiritual Direction settings and leads sessions in group spirituality.

Scott lives in Milwaukie, Oregon, with his wife, Laura, an attorney. He has two adult children, three adult step children and 6 grand children ranging in age from 1 to 17 years old.

Other Careers

No ordinary spiritual director, Scott holds his B. S., M. S., and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University, all in electrical engineering. His interdisciplinary research with the School of Medicine at Stanford contributed to understanding controls for an artificial heart.

After Stanford, Dr. Borison held progressively responsible positions with the Bell Telephone Laboratories, TRW Retail Systems, Xerox and Micom Systems until he left the electronics industry in 1983. He then enjoyed success in real estate development, management and sales until he joined Schroeder Law Offices in 1998 as its administrator and business manager.
